International Conference of Nigerian Students (ICONS2012)

Just in…

The University of Northampton will be the proud host of this year’s International Conference of Nigerian Students (ICONS2012) on the weekend of 21-22 April.
The conference is a great networking opportunity for Nigerian students from across the UK, and a special occasion on which to share work and interests.

The theme for this year’s conference is "personal development for economic and societal relevance". The programme includes presentations on a variety of issues that impact on Nigerian students, as well as exhibitions, poster presentations, small group sessions and a buffet dinner of Nigerian delicacies.  During the dinner, there will be a presentation of the annual ICONS awards, recognising outstanding achievements of distinguished UK based Nigerian students.

Career opportunities

This conference provides an excellent opportunity to network with employers (past conferences have been attended by organisations such as Find a Job in Africa, Black Britain Foundation, Central Association of Nigerians in the United Kingdom (CANUK), and British Council Nigeria), so attendees should be encouraged to bring copies of their CV.
